escape

Aunt Elizabeth was able to stop by for a quick visit on Saturday afternoon and Jackie was demonstrating her escape techniques.

Here shes is freeing herself from the Bumbo seat.... when they say not to use this on an elevated surface and make sure there is supervision they are right!

Rolling Machine

Here is a nice video of Jackie rolling over with out coercion. She's really rolling over a lot from her back to front, but doesn't seem to like to go from front to back, we think she gets a little startled when she's suddenly looking at the ceiling.

It's such a joy to watch her explore and discover new things. I wonder what she is thinking about?

I have become a fashion role model for my daughter...

Shoes

It's one of those days I guess...

I just realized around 2:20 PM that I am wearing two different sneakers.

I'll have to remember to turn the lights on when I am putting my shoes on in the morning!

Rolling over again

So we're sitting in the living room, and we're reading, and Jackie is on the play mat doing her thing, and I look down and notice she is on her belly. This is interesting, because I put her down on her back.

For a few weeks now, it seemed like she was ready to roll from back to front, just needed a little more time to figure it out.

We were able to coax her to do it again, sort of, and get it on video.

Here it is for your enjoyment.

Trainblogging!

Through the miracle of modern technology and the android mobile platform, im now able to update the blog on the go from my phone. I can now obsessively update everyone on our lives no matter where I am....
Who am I kidding I probably will update even less now!

Update... I think my favorite thing about this is it captures my location when I post. Apparently the train was speeding past some kind of pest removal service as I composed this.

Jackie was not obviously on the train with me, but I decide to test the photo posting capabilities with a picture I took a few days ago.

Jacqueline's First Celebrity Encounter

When I learned that one of my all time favorite celebrity type person was going to be doing a book signing of his new children's book up in Ridgewood, I immediately notified Alison that she would have to go and get a signed copy of the book and take a picture.

I was lucky enough to fulfill a long time wish to attend a Weird Al concert over the summer with a few friends. We had a great time at the Asbury Park Convention Center.

A video of terrible quality, from the nose bleed section, from the start of the show...

After the show, the four of us decked out in our Hawaiian shirts, tried to go meet Al, but because of some delays, and a last minute venue change (we were supposed to see the show at the PNC center), he didn't have his usual meet and greet after the show.

So I was Happy that Alison, Jackie, and Aunt Lauren braved the icy conditions last Wednesday and were able to go meet one of my favorite entertainers. Alison told me she was able to have a brief private signing, before the main one. Apparently since she got there at just the right time, and because the stroller was so big, the manager wanted to help her avoid having to carry it down the stairs to the signing area.

The pictures came out great, and Jackie now has a signed copy of his new children's book and a nice story and picture to go along with it when she is older.
