Settling In

It's been a remarkable week and a half since we brought little Jackie home. She's really surprised us with how quiet and peaceful she can be. Minimal amounts of fussing, we've really been lucky.

To my dear friends also expecting, there are things they never prepare you for in the baby classes. I think the first thing that springs to mind is how to get poop off curtains... this one I must have missed during the baby basics course at the hospital.

Also... practicing washing the baby with a plastic baby doll is virtually useless as Alison and I learned the other day. Babies in real life are much more squirmy, and they don't particularly care for having their heads under a sink faucet.

It's been a great couple of weeks of adjustments, and I'm glad I have the opportunity to work from home, so I can take all this in. I'm really going to miss my girls when it's time to head back to work next week.

  1. When does she start trading with the etrade baby?

I'm enjoying my last moments of peace and quiet.

  2. I'm going to let her set my stop loss prices from now on. She may be better suited for it.
